Our next Tokyo Photo Walk is just around the beautiful Autumn corner!
Come out and join photographer Hai Huynh on a photo walk through one of Tokyo’s most picturesque, natural locations, Mt. Takao.
It will be a great opportunity to get out and about with your camera, have fun, discuss all things photography and meet new people.
All photography levels welcome, whether you own a smartphone, point and shoot or DSLR.
When: Monday, 8 October 2012 (national holiday)
Time: 11:00 – approx. 14:00 (BYO picnic lunch)
Where: Meet outside Takaosanguchi Station, Tokyo
Participation fee: ¥1000 – donation towards It’s Not Just Mud, a non-profit volunteer organization based in Ishinomaki that provides disaster relief and grass-roots support to those affected by the March 11 earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disasters. Please see their website for more info.
Following the photo walk, we will hold a photo contest in which participants can submit their favorite/best photo from the walk. The winning entry will receive a prize! A JOBY GorillaPod Hybrid in grey – your perfect travel companion! More details about the contest will be given during the walk.
In the meantime, please help us decide the winner of the photo contest from last week’s Tokyo Photo Walk in trendy Harajuku by voting for your favorite entry on Facebook.
Here’s how to place your vote:
1. “Like” Jessica Korteman on Facebook.
2. Then check out the Tokyo Photo Walk (Harajuku): Photo Contest album and “like” your favorite photo(s). You may vote for more than one entry.
Note that voters must have liked Jessica Korteman on Facebook for their vote to be valid.
That’s it!
Voting will close on Saturday, 29 September 2012 at 9pm, Japan time. The winner will be announced on our Facebook page and blog on Sunday, 30 September 2012.
Good luck to all the entrants and thank you for supporting our fundraising activities through your votes!
Feel free to pass on the details of this event to anyone you think may be interested and we hope you can join us!
